Accounting Technician


Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Bookkeeping for various clients from different industries
  • Process payroll
  • PST and GST Filling
  • Preparation of T4, T4A and T5
  • Prepare Compilation Engagement Report
  • Complete Personal and Corporate Tax Returns
  • Effective communication with clients, government agencies, partners, and staff.
  • Completion of additional projects or related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Min 2 years of Accounting Technician experience in a public accounting practice.
  • Bachelor's degree, Business College, or Business Administration Diploma with Accounting major is required.
  • Must have proficiency with accounting software, such as Quickbooks, Caseware and Taxcycle.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and flexibly manage multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail, including strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
